while browsing for other travel blogs i came across placeblog which describes itself "as an act of sustained attention to a particular place over time It can be done by one person, a defined group of people, or in a way that’s open to community contribution It’s not a newspaper, though it may contain random acts of journalism It’s about the lived experience of a place." i found this site to be well rounded there are blogs on about everything especially travel blogs from all over the world.

I chose this time to research something closer to home, Vancouver Island and the nearby Gulf Islands is one of the many travel destinations in the World. Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, located on the south tip of Vancouver island off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. It offers a breathtaking inner harbour area. Victoria is well known for its Heritage homes, unique art galleries, and local farmer markets. Much of Victoria's downtown area has been restored to original facades. Also while in Vancouver The Butchart Gardens are a must see, tucked into a 50-acre country on the southeast corner, is a garden of beauty in every season. From summer to autumn - there's always something to see, learn and experience. Floral finery offering spectacular views as you stroll along meandering paths and expansive lawns.
